Consultation-Assessment

A Consultation/Fitness Assessment is the very first step in the personal training process. In order to design a customized program that most effectively allows you to achieve your goals, we need to know where you are now, and where you want to go in the future.

During the consultation we will discuss your specific goals, lifestyle, exercise experience, health history, motivations, limitations, etc.

The fitness assessment is a valuable tool and evaluates the following:

  • Health History
  • PAR-Q
  • Exercise & Lifestyle History
  • Body Composition (7 Site Skinfold Caliper Test)
  • Girth Measurements
  • Submaximal VO2 Test
  • Musculoskeletal Screen
  • Flexibility Screen
  • General Posture Screen
  • Blood Pressure Test
  • Optional Progress Photos

Additional assessments may be needed if you are interested in sport specific training. Assessments may include:

  • Muscle Strength
  • Muscle Endurance
  • Muscle Power
  • Balance
  • Speed
  • Agility
  • Neuromuscular Coordination
  • Flexibility Screen
  • General Posture Screen
  • Blood Pressure Test
  • Optional Progress Photos

The results of these assessments will give us the information needed to design the most effective and efficient programs to reach your goals as quickly as possible. Monthly assessments allow us to document your progress in a more objective manner and will tell us what modifications need to be made in your training and nutrition programming to ensure continued progress.
